The Difference between th the FNRA (Red Army) and the Fire Nation Republicans is that the the Red Army follow a Marxist-Leninist ideology while the Republicans wish to overthrow the Fire monarchy and nobility in favor of a republic guided by radical leftism/Trotskyism.
Another difference is this: The Fire Nation Republicans do not see the Fire Lord as a legitimate leader and must be overthrown as replaced by a governor of the people, by the people. Fire Nation Republicans tend to follow Trotskyism as opposed to Marxist-Leninism.
The Fire Nation Red Army and Crimson Flame Faction see the Fire Lord as a legitimate leader so long as he serves the needs and interests of the proletariat. The FNRA and the Crimson Flames follow Marxist-Leninism and Stalinism
